We will hold two meetings this summer, to plan our events and fundraisers, and to put together a budget for next year. Board members will then vote to approve the final budget proposal. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, and kids are welcome too. Location and times TBD.
Join us for the final PTO Meeting of the year in the School Library on June 14th at 6PM! On the agenda are PTO elections for the next school year!
PTO is looking to elect the following positions:
If you have attended one PTO meeting this school year, you are eligible to vote. In order to run for an office, you must have attended two meetings within the school year, one of which must be between January and May of this year. (The June election meeting does not count towards these requirements.)
Join us to give your input on the design of our new school building! The architects will share preliminary concepts and solicit feedback from school families and community members. This Concept Design meeting is the first of four design meetings to be held over the coming year. This meeting is on June 6th at 6PM in the MHES Cafeteria!
MHES is once again a proud recipient of a Spring 2018 Access for All Grant through Young Audiences of Maryland. With this support, Medfield Heights will host award winning company SYNETIC THEATRE for (2) back to back assemblies this Spring!
Synetic Theater is Washington DC's premier physical theater company bringing a wonderful collection of comical short-stories set to music: an old movie style Charlie Chaplin-like boat ride that turns into an outrageous stormy trip, two cowboys in the wild west taming a bull on the loose, two road workers trying to catch a butterfly in an attempt to capture the heart of a girl, and the classic invisible wall. Students are introduced to the art of storytelling without words through pantomime, imagination, illusions, and physical comedy in this theater assembly.
Thank you Medfield Heights Elementary PTO for your continued grant-writing in support of ongoing arts programming and school-wide performances!
Hawaiian Spirit Day is Friday, June 1st at Medfield Heights Elementary. Come to school dressed in your Luau Party best! The Kona Ice truck will also be sailing up to school for the afternoon, so send your child with cash for a delicious sweet treat to beat the heat! (prices from $2 to $6).
Thank you to our 2017 - 2018 participating fundraising partners for supporting our school and bringing our community together in and around the neighborhood! Please remember to patronize these businesses throughout the summer to show our continued appreciation! AND LET US KNOW which were your favorite night outs so we can keep bringing a great line-up of monthly activities next year!
We are excited to host our MAY PTO FUNDRAISER at MOD PIZZA at the Rotunda on Thursday, May 24th (Day Before Field Day)!
