  • Congratulate our new PTO Board members! Thank you for volunteering your time to serve our school.
  • An ongoing fundraiser with Mabel’s Label’s can help prepare for summer camps. PTO gets 20% back.

Upcoming events
  • Order Taharka Ice Cream 5/7 through 5/14, use code MEDFIELDPTO
    (And/Or sign up for volunteering  to distribute the ice cream here)
  • Field Day 5/23
  • Thurs May 29th 10:45-2PM will be a day to cook-out for the teachers. 
    Friday 5/30 is green day and there will be a picnic. Volunteers are needed both days between 10:45-2PM.    5/15 Taharka Fundraiser pickup and 5th Grade Dance Out (6-8PM)

Upcoming events]]><![CDATA[Want to get more involved next year?]]>Thu, 10 Apr 2025 17:57:30 GMThttp://www.medfieldheightspto.com/pto-news/want-to-get-more-involved-next-yearWe will be having upcoming elections for the 2025-2026 PTO Executive Board on May 8th. 
We invite you to come to our April 24th general PTO meeting to learn more about the positions.
The positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 3 members-at-large. There will also be several committee positions to consider if you are not interested in the Board positions.

If you haven't attended a meeting this year but are interested in getting more involved next year, you will need to attend April's meeting to be eligible for the vote. All voting for the Executive Board positions will happen at the May 8th PTO meeting. You must be present at that meeting as well to be eligible for the voting process. 

Please let us know if you have any additional questions about the Executive Board positions or the voting process. (medfieldheightspto@gmail.com) We have built some great momentum this school year and we want to keep it going!

  • We are looking for people to sign-up for tables for Medfest May 3rd. $50/table (6 tables total)-goes to offset the cost PTO incurs for security. Signup for a table here
  • For next school year we are also looking for a Restaurant Night Coordinator next year, Grants Committee and Service Committee chair person.

  • 3/27- Basket Bingo (not a PTO fundraiser) at 6pm

We are looking for parents to help with planning restaurant night fundraisers as well as parents or community partners to assist with monthly movement activities. Please contact medfieldheightspto@gmail.com if you are interested or want more information.

Please take the following steps if you'd like to request a sidewalk along Wood Heights Ave:
  • go to https://balt311.baltimorecity.gov/citizen/s/ and submit a request for an “(ADA) Sidewalk Ramp Concern (Repair).” 
  • “Request this service”
  • Skip the pictures if you’d like (Ms. O’Neill included it in hers.)
  • Location: “Wood Heights & Buena Vista”
  • “Mid Block” (even though it’s both)
  • “Install”
  • “Both”
  • Q4 - “There is a middle of the street crosswalk/sidewalk on the school-side of Wood Heights and a corner crosswalk/sidewalk on the Buena Vista side of Wood Heights.”

Here are some key takeaways and upcoming dates:
  • Please consider joining the Fundraising Committee, Service Committee and Inclusion committee and/or helping Austin Carpenter with Restaurant Fundraisers. Email medfieldheightspto@gmail.com if interested.
  • 11/21 Academic Night-School sponsored event from 5-6pm. PTO will NOT have snack stand due to shorter event. MHES alumni can volunteer to get service learning hours. There will be 15 stations for current MHES students to play academic games and win prizes.
  • 11/26 Pepe’s- open-close, 20% of sales BUT have to mention MEDFIELD, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out. ​
  • 12/3 Giving Tuesday- Benefits the PTO contribution to the Holiday Drive to purchase wrapping materials
  • 12/16 Holiday Drive wrapping days begin. The PTO will support 15 families at the school. Look for sign-ups to help with donating gifts/wrapping.
  • ​12/17-  Belvedere Square Restaurant Night: 5PM-close, 10% of ALL sales, Pono Taco, Grand Cru, The Pizza Trust, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out.   
NO DECEMBER PTO MEETING. Next meeting: January 9th at 6PM VIRTUAL ONLY!
