Show your Medfield Pride! Join Kerry Ford Morancy (PTO Secretary and Super Mom) and family who will be marching in the Mayor's Christmas Parade this Sunday. We are thrilled to welcome our 6th Young Audiences assembly to MHES on December 3rd. Curtis Blues brings history to life, in two back to back performances, by showcasing musical instruments from around the world in this interactive show. Students will learn how different cultures build instruments from resources in their environments and how their choices still influence music today. Medfield Heights PTO is a proud recipient of multiple Access for All Grants to support these arts experiences in the school through Young Audiences of Maryland. Past performances include Dance China New York (Fall 2015), East African drummer, dancer and singer Ssuana (Spring 2016), traditional dance duo Rhythms of India (Fall 2016), Flamenco dancer Anna Menendez (Fall 2017), and award winning Washington DC's experimental dance company Synentic Theatre (Spring 2018). Our diverse line-up of world-renowned artists, musicians and dancers for school assemblies acknowledges and celebrates our school's incredibly diverse student community. Don't forget December 5, 2018 is our Design Review Meeting for the new school. We will meet in the cafeteria from 6:00-7:00pm.
