  Namastē! Konnichiwa! Bonjour! Nǐ Hǎo! MHES is an amazing place where students from 17 countries work, learn and play together every day! To celebrate our diversity and develop a better understanding of other cultures, MHES is excited to host its annual Diversity Day this Friday, March 23rd. Students will complete projects about different countries and "tour" these countries around the school by visiting bulletin boards created by students and teachers in each homeroom.
 Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl of the Milkshake Band We are thrilled to announce the Milkshake DUO will join the Spring Fling performance stage line-up from 12:30PM - 1:30PM on April 28th. MILKSHAKE is an award-winning rock band for kids - this special duo performance will feature Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl of the Milkshake Band.
The Grammy-nominated Milkshake has released four award-winning CDs, a Parent’s Choice Silver Award winning DVD Screen Play, and has had music videos on Nick Jr., PBS KIDS and the Emmy-winning cartoon ToddWorld. Their fourth CD, Great Day, was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Musical Recording for Children” in 2010. Stay tuned for a complete Spring Fling 2018 Performance Stage schedule coming soon! A special bundle of MILKSHAKE CDs and Swag will also be on bid at the Silent Auction.  (Fingers crossed for some spring weather to go along with it!)   Our very own Ms. Becker poses with the Oriole Bird at Spring Fling 2016 Did you hear? The Oriole Bird is coming back this year to make a special appearance at Spring Fling 2018! The Bird will be spreading MHES cheer and is happy to pose for pictures with the whole family from 1PM - 2PM! We've also just added Baltimore Orioles tickets and memorabilia to the silent auction! What fun will you get into at the Fling?
 Please join us this Thursday, March 8th from 6PM - 7:30PM in the MHES Library. We'll be discussing spring activities including the Book Fair, a Young Audiences performance, a night at Union Brewery, and of course, Spring Fling! Please join us.  The Book Fair RETURNS March 12 - 19th! A wonderful chance to find that perfect book! Browse the wide range of titles for every level and interest. Favorite series and authors will get kids excited about reading. Sign Up here to Work a Shift at the Book Fair! The Book Fair will be open from 9AM - 3PM, March 12 - 15 and March 19th in Room 8 in Blue Building. Also OPEN from 5PM - 7PM on Thursday, March 15th.
