Thursday, October 29, is a big day for Medfield Heights.
We'll be receiving the Claire's Gourmet product delivery at 2:00PM, and will need all hands on deck to unload the shipment and organize orders for pick up. The items are perishable, so we are relying on the MHES community to assist us throughout the day to quickly distribute the desserts and snacks as parents and guardians arrive to receive them. There will be three two-hour shifts: 2:00-4:00PM, 4:00-6:00PM, 6:30-8:30PM. Please make plans to join us at our next meeting, November 12, 2015 at 6PM in the Medfield Heights Elementary Library. On Thursday, October 29th, MHES will host our Annual Literacy Night, which will take place from 7PM - 8PM. Children are invited to wear pajamas and come to school to hear a story, eat a snack, and make a craft. Adult supervision is required - so please make arrangements to join your children for this fun-filled night. The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during Literacy Night in the Library! We could use some parents to assist teachers with snack distribution. We will also be running a Giant A+ Bonus Card and Target Red Card sign up station in the hallway, for those parents and guardians who still need to register. There will be laptops on site to assist with online application, and members of the Volunteer Committee will be on-site to assist.
If you are unable to volunteer, but would still like to help, you could donate a case of 8oz water bottles for the Literacy Night snack time. You can drop off your case of water to the school office. It's an option included in the Literacy Night Sign Up Genius Below. To sign up for Literacy Night: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0C44A9A62DA6F58-mhes Friday, October 30th
Storybook Character Parade starts at 1pm Students should come to school wearing a costume from a storybook! Students should bring the book representing their character to school and be prepared to talk about their book and character with their classmates. We will march through the school community starting at 1PM. Ask your teachers about parties in the classroom following the parade. A Common Sense Note to Parents - Costumes should be school friendly, weapon free and comfortable to wear all day at school! We appreciate our fellow parent's commitment to school spirit and safety! Join us this Thursday in the MHES Library at 6PM for the Volunteer Committee meeting, Get up to speed with a summary of last month's agenda and conversation. New comers and children always welcome. How should we prioritize spending for our funds raised?
