What a big week we had at Medfield! Thank you everyone for pitching in with donations of water, goodies, cheer and your time to support the school during Literacy Week. We could not have done it without you! It was exciting to see so many helpers organize Claire's Gourmet sales for the community. And thanks to the heroic efforts of the volunteer committee on literacy night, our sign-ups for Giant Food are also now at an all time high! Thanks to our classroom parents and volunteers for cheering on our little ones at the annual Storybook Character Parade and supporting teachers to host parties in each classroom. Finally, we are especially grateful for the time and talents of the Grandparent's Committee for hosting a week long Book Fair in the library generating important funding for the school and a passion for reading during Literacy Week. A collective pat on the back for all! 

We are thrilled to host DANCE CHINA NEW YORK this Wednesday, November 4th at MHES in acknowledgment and celebration of our school's incredibly diverse student community. 

Made possible by an Access for All Grant and Volunteer Committee funding, Dance China New York (DCNY) takes audiences on a tour of the culture, customs, and dance heritage of China. The resident company of the New York Chinese Cultural Center, DCNY is comprised of award winning dancers from China and the U.S. The company transports the audience to a world of colorful myths, historical drama, and timeless beauty with stimulating programs that weave through many varied terrains of time, region, legend, and reality—all within the Chinese landscape.

Join teachers, faculty, staff, students and their families for MHES Spirit Night at Chipotle, 1040 W. 41st Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21211, this Tuesday, November 3rd, 5PM - 9PM. Chipotle will donate a percentage of sales back to the school.

Proceeds from this event will support the Dance China New York performance on Wednesday, November 4th at school.
