Here are the action items and upcoming dates:

We are looking for people to sign-up for tables for Medfest May 3rd. $50/table (6 tables total)-goes to offset the cost PTO incurs for security. Signup for a table here
For next school year we are also looking for a Restaurant Night Coordinator next year, Grants Committee and Service Committee chair person.

3/19- Clark Burger- 4 to close & Deadline for class basket bingo donations
3/27- Basket Bingo (not a PTO fundraiser) at 6pm
3/27- Square One Art orders due.
3/29- Zumba Movement event- 2pm
4/9 Afterschool clean up
4/10- Multicultural Night
4/10 and 4/11 Guest Reader Days sign up through homeroom parents
5/3 Medfest and craft fair
5/5-5/9 Teacher Appreciation Week

Thank you to everyone who participated in the January PTO Meeting. The minutes are available on the website here.

The next PTO meeting will be by zoom on February 20th at 6PM.

We are looking for parents to help with planning restaurant night fundraisers as well as parents or community partners to assist with monthly movement activities. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested or want more information.

Please note the following upcoming events:

January 16th-Nepenthe 1/16 5-close 10% of all proceeds will be donated to MHES.
January 25th-Monthly Movement @ 10am Hula Hooping at the school
February 12th-Clark Burger Restaurant Night 2/12 4- close

Help the school get an ADA compliant sidewalk along Wood Heights Ave!

Our students and families need a sidewalk where everyone can access the sidewalks with ease.
Please take the following steps if you'd like to request a sidewalk along Wood Heights Ave:

go to https://balt311.baltimorecity.gov/citizen/s/ and submit a request for an “(ADA) Sidewalk Ramp Concern (Repair).”
“Request this service”
Skip the pictures if you’d like (Ms. O’Neill included it in hers.)
Location: “Wood Heights & Buena Vista”
“Mid Block” (even though it’s both)
“Install”
“Both”
Q4 - “There is a middle of the street crosswalk/sidewalk on the school-side of Wood Heights and a corner crosswalk/sidewalk on the Buena Vista side of Wood Heights.”
Q5 - “NA”
Additional - “This is a school crossing with students and parents that have mobility needs."

Here are some key takeaways and upcoming dates:

Please consider joining the Fundraising Committee, Service Committee and Inclusion committee and/or helping Austin Carpenter with Restaurant Fundraisers. Email [email protected] if interested.
11/21 Academic Night-School sponsored event from 5-6pm. PTO will NOT have snack stand due to shorter event. MHES alumni can volunteer to get service learning hours. There will be 15 stations for current MHES students to play academic games and win prizes.

11/26 Pepe’s- open-close, 20% of sales BUT have to mention MEDFIELD, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out.
12/3 Giving Tuesday- Benefits the PTO contribution to the Holiday Drive to purchase wrapping materials
12/16 Holiday Drive wrapping days begin. The PTO will support 15 families at the school. Look for sign-ups to help with donating gifts/wrapping.
12/17- Belvedere Square Restaurant Night: 5PM-close, 10% of ALL sales, Pono Taco, Grand Cru, The Pizza Trust, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out.

NO DECEMBER PTO MEETING. Next meeting: January 9th at 6PM VIRTUAL ONLY!

Thank you! We raised $638 at the Local Fry Fundraiser!

Thank you to everyone who came to our Local Fry fundraiser on Oct 28th! We raised $638 toward our overall fundraising goal for the year of $7,300.

The PTO has raised a total of $977.27 from the two most recent restaurant nights!

If you have question about the PTO, our budget and our fundraisers, please come to our next meeting on Nov 14th at 6PM or check out the discussion at our last meeting! We'd love to have you join us!
