The PTA Walk-a-Thon will be rescheduled for next week due to expected incliment weather this Wednesday. We will announce the make-up date on Monday and anticipate holding the rescheduled event on Tuesday December 3rd or Wednesday December 4th.

Gobble, Gobble, Dance & Gobble! Medfield's PTA, in partnership with Johns Hopkins University student groups, is excited to sponsor a Thanksgiving Food and Supply Drive in November. Each homeroom is assigned a specific item that will go to various outreach groups. What is your classroom collecting? Check out the complete list in the November newsletter. To conclude the drive, the PTA will host a student dance on Friday, December 6th from 6pm-8pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for admittance. Crafts, music, dancing and a snack table! Admission for the dance is two (2) non-perishable food items. Newsletter_November Edition
Last night, we saw a record turn-out at School Family Council. Thank you to all the parents and community partners for your participation. This is a great way to get involved and share your ideas with teachers and the community.

Dear Parents - A Word to the Wise Please refrain from double parking outside the Elementary School during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. This is a disruption to the neighborhood and a safety issue for our students. We appreciate all our parent's commitment to common sense, school spirit and safety. Thank you to all of the family and community members that attended the first SFC Meeting on September 23rd. We made great strides in working on our School Performance Plan. We discussed ways to get involved with school activities. Thank you to all the parents who attended the first PTA Meeting of the school year. Topics included an overview of goals for the PTA, an introduction of the board members, ideas for fundraising or "fun"raising, and opportunities for new student activities and events as well as musc and art enrichment. Specific ideas for fundraising included a Storybook Themed School Dance, International/Diversity Celebrations, monthly performances and movie nights. Parent Committees are forming now.
