Open for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner! Join MHES families, friends and teachers for a sweet treat, dinner and movie at SweetSide Cafe on Friday, September 22nd. Select from the full menu all day including soups, sandwiches, salads, gourmet coffees, and desserts! Or join us for dinner and a Family Movie - Showing Disney's Moana at 7:30PM! 15% proceeds benefit MHES kids and the school.
MHES is looking for business volunteers to spend a day (September 29, 8AM - 2PM) in the classroom and help children learn about earning, spending and savings. JA in a Day enables business volunteers to bring the JA elementary school financial education curriculum to an entire school.
This one-day event is a great way to impact the community while providing employees with a team-building experience. One to two volunteers are assigned to a classroom to present a series of interactive, grade-specific lessons, while teachers enjoy the benefits of having a business professional in their classroom. MHES will supply coffee and a small breakfast. One or two (depending on number) volunteers per classroom (15 classrooms)
Our annual CLAIRE'S GOURMET fundraiser continues! With so many wonderful treats to choose from - we are confident your family will want to gobble-up these tasty goodies and buy as gifts to share! Funds will be used for a new technology and furniture upgrades. Orders and money are due October 10th. Orders will be ready for pick-up Thursday, November 2nd, 2:30PM - 6PM. Our goal is for every family to sell at least 10 items - more if you can!
Join MHES teachers and staff on Wednesday, September 13 from 6:00pm -8:00pm for the annual Back to School Night! Principal Kilcoyne will share valuable information about our school and the year ahead and you will will have a chance to talk with your child(ren)’s teacher(s).
Can you help (temporarily) tattoo the whole school on Super Purple Friday?! We will go around to the classrooms in groups of 2 or 3 volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for this event - sign up here!
Festivities include a voluntary purple/Ravens dress code, purple beaded necklaces, and temporary tattoos! A $1 donation is requested, but we will be providing beads and tattoos for all students, unless their parents return the form opting them out of the tattoos.
Meet your teachers, tour your classroom and drop off your school supplies early - 1PM at Medfield Heights Elementary for our annual Ice Cream Social. Families can enjoy an open house style meet and greet with teachers, ask questions, see your student's desk space! A tasty way to kick-off another wonderful year!
NOTE: The school will be open early on September 1st from 8:30am - 9:30am for parents who would like to drop off school supplies ONLY but cannot attend the social. Teachers will be on hand and are happy to collect your child's supplies and deliver to their classroom in the morning!

A great social event to catch up with new and familiar faces, ask questions and share some outdoor time ahead of the new school year.
