Help the school get an ADA compliant sidewalk along Wood Heights Ave!

Our students and families need a sidewalk where everyone can access the sidewalks with ease.
Please take the following steps if you'd like to request a sidewalk along Wood Heights Ave:

go to https://balt311.baltimorecity.gov/citizen/s/ and submit a request for an “(ADA) Sidewalk Ramp Concern (Repair).”

Skip the pictures if you’d like (Ms. O’Neill included it in hers.)
Location: “Wood Heights & Buena Vista”
“Mid Block” (even though it’s both)
“Install”
“Both”
Q4 - “There is a middle of the street crosswalk/sidewalk on the school-side of Wood Heights and a corner crosswalk/sidewalk on the Buena Vista side of Wood Heights.”
Q5 - “NA”
Additional - “This is a school crossing with students and parents that have mobility needs."

We had a great turnout at our November PTO meeting! Thank you to everyone who made it either in person or via zoom.
If you weren't able to make it, no worries! The minutes from the meeting are available here.

Here are some key takeaways and upcoming dates:

Please consider joining the Fundraising Committee, Service Committee and Inclusion committee and/or helping Austin Carpenter with Restaurant Fundraisers. Email [email protected] if interested.
11/21 Academic Night-School sponsored event from 5-6pm. PTO will NOT have snack stand due to shorter event. MHES alumni can volunteer to get service learning hours. There will be 15 stations for current MHES students to play academic games and win prizes.

11/26 Pepe’s- open-close, 20% of sales BUT have to mention MEDFIELD, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out.
12/3 Giving Tuesday- Benefits the PTO contribution to the Holiday Drive to purchase wrapping materials
12/16 Holiday Drive wrapping days begin. The PTO will support 15 families at the school. Look for sign-ups to help with donating gifts/wrapping.
12/17- Belvedere Square Restaurant Night: 5PM-close, 10% of ALL sales, Pono Taco, Grand Cru, The Pizza Trust, NO UberEats/3rd party delivery apps. Dine-in/Carry-out.

NO DECEMBER PTO MEETING. Next meeting: January 9th at 6PM VIRTUAL ONLY!
